set adrift on a memory bliss (:
i behave as if exams are over! (:
no lectures for these 3 days. i did indicate in my organizer that i will study pediatric today. but you see, i mean, since prof tay already given us the exams questions, there's not really a need to study uh? i just need to work out the answers and copy them down and memorise like a nerd! (:
and i din't really wanna touch the other modules because i've already scheduled to study those modules next week. (:
so i ended up sleeping the entire day before meeting my friend for sushi dinner. (: i supposed it's been long since i last ate
sakae! (: they've even changed the discount card to DBS and HSBC instead of UOB! DAMN! to think that i wanted to accumulate my UOB uni$ lar! SIGH! and my DBS card doesn't have such benefits! BAHH!
OH! after so long of being loyal towards PAP, miss leepin finally gotten her share on part of the Singapore 07's surplus! (: HAHAHA! that $650 put such a wide smile on her face! (: if you actually think of it, we totally deserved this sum of money lar! Singapore's annual surplus is way too much and they should really give PART of it out to Singaporeans, afterall we are the ones who contributed to part of this growth uh? (: and yesh, the 2% GST increase is driving me mad especially when i'm such a food lover and such a shopaholic! (: this increase does make me feel the pinch whenever i foot the bill! so the $250 GST credits will be the aid to the pinch
es i feel! (:
i'm just thinking through this, the food inflation has been an issue recently. NTUC has revealed its help to the needy through the U-stretch thingy. and i'm just thinking about it, maybe during the parliament seating, the MPs will bring up this issue, and MAYBE the minister of finance will introduce FOOD INFLATION OFFSET PACKAGE uh? HAHAH! then i will love tharman
(correct spelling of his name?) to the bits mans!
but i seriously don't understand the reason for the sudden inflation in food and oil prices, which kinda affects all the countries! and it has been the headlines on the papers for a few days. i'm really glad IMF actually bring this up and stated the seriousness of this inflation! actually i think the main concern is the less developed countries. you can imagine how they will starve and suffer from malnutrition as a result. SIGH.
oh! another issue which kinda bothers me! damn! if you did read about the review section on the straits times (
saturday's issue), you will know how the disabled are being taken advantage of and i would say in my defintion of being bullied. ):
they work exactly the same job as others, and yet they only receive 1/10 of the salary, which equates to about $100 per month? if you come to think of it, their transportation would cost about $90, and what?! they're left with 10 pathetic bucks for their meals and savings? i think this is so absurd! okays, at least macDonalds offers about $400 basic pay, that's fair enough. but for those damn companies which take advantage of the disabled, i seriously think something should be done regarding this! (: and i always believe straits times are able to bring such issues to light! (:
let's just wait and see then! (:
happy tuesday! (:
