MY AREA 14 SAGA! (:
okays, i understand the fact that there are certain things that i should not display it out, but omg! area 14 is now so excited about this entire saga thing! HAHA. and we are practically bitching to one another about this stupid bitch!she's getting on our nerves. i mean, even the new CIs cannot stand her! GOSH!OKAYS, anyway, this entire saga began right back in february, when i started it... for a good reason of course. (: since there's no more CIs like nelson who would help us defend and shoot her, we need to do something about it, and i decided to try it out! (:so in feb, this is what happened. Hi,
is the nominal roll uploaded on yahoo group the latest one? As for
what i know, our AC Mr Lim does not have hui tian in his list anymore,
but we do have the latter in our latest nominal roll as well as in the
minutes of our AGM as CIs absent with apologies. So does it mean Hui
Tian is still in NPCC and in Area 14 as well? I mean, during AGM, we
brought up this issue, so i just hope the new SG/ASG could clear our
doubts by clarifying with AC.
secondly, Ben is no longer in area 14. He has been posted to area 18.
I believe Hovman has chosen another area too when they were converted
to HOs. SO once again, please confirm with them and update the
officers' contact list.
Meera brought up the issue of active CIs being 'insured' by HQ, so who
are the CIs who we considered as active? those in AC's list or we can
choose and pick?
this is not an email of shooting or outcasting, if anyone actually
thought it was. and i just hope the replies to this email is not
merely based on shooting as well.

fellow HO is still in Area 14 and being posted to Henderson? And we
thought you are leaving?
Does your email mean that if there are no active CI(s) in the unit,
will it mean that the whole unit can be pulled out for the area or
that AC will post another CI to the unit.
Just to clarify, Jun Jiang, Kai Jie and I will still go back
Henderson. We will check yahoo groups regularly and if there are any
Area events, we will take note of it and try to make it for at least
1 meeting.

I (we) don't know that HO Hovman is still in our area. There wasn't
any news about his postings after he got converted to HO. Furthermore,
I don't think unit CIs of Henderson did update the area about their
latest CIs/HOs. Thus, leaving the area to ponder over which CIs or HOs
are still available and active.
As regards to your 2nd paragraph, I believed you've misread my email.
Do allow me to re-explain my previous email regarding the issue of
active CIs. CIs will be considered out of NPCC when they reached to
the age of 22, unless they further their route of advancement to
either HIs (the specialised people with skills like kayaking etc – the
non uniform personnel) or HOs (we are still wearing the NPCC uniform).
And thus, when CIs of this age are out of NPCC (without any route of
advancement), they are no longer being `insured' by HQ and this is
what I considered this as NON ACTIVE. Maybe our definition of ACTIVE
is different, thenceforth the miscommunication.
So referring to my email, we are unclear of how our AREA AC would want
our CIs to be, whether we want to follow the HQ's directives, which I
stated in my previous email as the CIs in AC's list or we have our own
Area's rules to welcome the help of these CIs? This is the reason why
I seek clarification from the SG/ASG to ask our AC about this.
So coming back to your 2nd paragraph, I can't seem to find a link to
what I've stated in my email. That's why I said maybe there is a
miscommunication between the both of us. But to reply your queries, if
there is no unit CIs at all in an unit, OsC units can request for new
CIs from HQ or they can live well without CIs, and maybe that's why HQ
is going to implement the Project Track to help units with no CIs, as
this can be used to teach the cadets with the soft and hard skills of
NPCC. Definitely it won't be so silly to go to the extent of pulling
the unit out of the Area. If that's the case, what is the purpose of
having 20 Areas in NPCC? (:
So now, the area understands that you and Jun Jiang are still active
in our area events. However, we still need to seek clarification from
our AC regarding who he wants our CIs to be, and IF he has chosen to
set our own Area's rules to welcome the help of CIs (those in HQ's
list and out of HQ's list), Area 14 would definitely be glad to have
more manpower to help out in our area events as INSTRUCTORS since
we're now facing with a manpower problem for area events. On the other
hand, what if AC decides to just follow HQ's directives, could I ask
what will happen next?

SO!my dear ASG was asking the area about some area events, trying to get CIs to vote between games day and campfire... and she fucking irritate my area ASG as well! haha.. and my dear ASG is still a newbie in area 14! OH MANS, she is beyond hope i swear! (:so recently, this happened... Dear Huitian,
Answering to your question why games day is no longer combined with oath taking like we used to is because with promotion held on the same day with the Oath taking for last year and this year, it is very difficult to run with the limited manpower.
This year, promotion is again held on the same day as oath taking again, and this time round we are faced with a larger problem of shortage of manpower because this time round all units will take promotion together, instead of 3 units on each week. We need more CIs to clear the promotion and run the oath taking concurrently.
Yea, as I said, during the meeting, not everyone was there to cast their vote and there were some constraints faced by the hosting school, therefore, I feel that we should re-consider our vote and think in their shoes as well.
The objective of the games day and campfire is actually more or less the same, that is to bond the whole area together as based on last year's feedback, cadets feel that they actually like the area more and would look foward to more area activities. However, we would still leave it to the coordinators to come out with the objectives though.

Hi Choy Peng Just wondering did you read my email carefully. I meant the past and not now that Games Day should be held together with Oath Taking. Up to coordinators to decide the core benefits for the cadets in arranging such events then.
How long will oath taking take? It will only involved Sec 1s and perhaps 2-5 CIs to be around for the event whereas the rest shall be down for the test? After the oath-taking, which perhaps take 1 to 2 hours, the CIs involved shall take the promo test also?
I seriously do not think that there are shortage of manpower in the area, it will depends how it's gonna be planned. =)

Maybe i did misread the meaning of your email. As to how long will oath taking take, it is 2.30pm to 6pm it is not just 1-2 hours but 3 hours as oath taking is not just swearing that's it, but there are game thereafter for the sec 1s to enjoy and have fun at the end of the day. Maybe you didn't know since you are not involved in area for so long. It will mainly involve Sec 1s and involve 6 CIs for the whole event, and arrangement was made for 2 of the CIs out of the 6 to help out in promo after they are done with the job scope. It was well-planned already. Anyway, thanks for replying despite you having finished your service as a CI and showed concern over area matters~! Oh yea, and this is my last reply to you and wun be replying you anymore coz I got to spend more energy on doing my own things as well as Area matters... Have a nice day ahead~!
